Daniel Rindress-Kay
‘Peter’ Daniel is an actor, writer and producer living in Montreal. He first discovered his love of simply performing on stage at the age of 8, when he took classes with Pegasus Performing Arts. Dan would later go on to develop a deeper love of acting in particular, from classes at the Montreal School of Performing Arts.
During this time, Dan began to act professionally in Montreal-based film and television. From this, his curiosity and passion for the work done behind the lens grew, leading to a DEC in Media Studies at Dawson College and a BFA in Film Studies from Concordia University. It was at Concordia that Dan met Jon Dubsky, another Montreal based actor/producer, and the two began collaborating together on short films.
Following life at school, Dan has kept busy by working as a producer and actor. Along with his production partner, Jon, he has spent the last 2 years creating the comedy web series ‘CUBED’, which is scheduled to go live in June 2012. Though time-consuming, it was a labor of love for Dan who co-wrote, co-produced, co-directed and co-starred in the series along with Jon.
Dan has also been busy working on various other projects, from brief appearances in Walter Salles’ beat-generation adaptation of ‘On The Road’ (2012) and Jonathan Levine’s zombie love story ‘Warm Bodies’ (2013), to a supporting role in the upcoming Lifetime television film ‘Fugitive at 17’ (2012).
Dan continues to work in the Montreal film industry, writing his first feature spec script. More importantly, however, he continues to find new ways of encouraging his cinephilia through this work.
